    Build your own HTQ - free modules starting in January 2025!

    University Centre Somerset is launching a range of flexible, free short courses designed to fit around your busy life. Whether you're interested in personal development, CPD, or starting your journey towards a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ), our short courses are the perfect way to gain valuable skills and knowledge in a manageable timeframe.

    These short courses—or Single Registerable Modules (SRMs)—allow you to study select modules from our HTQ programmes. You’ll gain credits toward a full HTQ, without committing to the full qualification right away. With a blended learning approach, you can enjoy the flexibility of face-to-face lectures, practical workshops, and online sessions to suit your schedule.

    Available Courses:

    • Accelerated Web Development and Programming Fundamentals (40 credits)
    • Leadership and Management (30 credits)
    • Physiological Factors for Sports Coaching (30 credits)
    • Professional Factors for Sports Coaching (30 credits)

    Each course offers the opportunity to develop career-relevant skills in growing industries, with no tuition fees*, giving you the chance to advance your career or explore new fields at no cost.
