University Centre Somerset is proud host to one of the founding National College for Nuclear (NCfN) hubs in England. Our students receive specialist high-level technical training in nuclear-related disciplines, including: Power Generation, Nuclear New Build, Decommissioning and Defence.
Based at our Cannington campus, with Hinkley Point nearby, students benefit from cutting-edge facilities, including impressive virtual reality environments, labs and a unique nuclear engineering workshop complete with a state-of-the-art flow rig.
We work closely with employers to cultivate a highly skilled workforce to meet the future demands of the nuclear sector, contributing to the UK’s energy security and decarbonisation goals.
