Esme, UCS Motorsport's new Caterham 7, has made her track debut for at the Castle Combe Circuit, for a test day in July.
The students gained valuable trackside experience, and participated in several tasks such as re-bleeding the brake and clutch systems.
The day consisted of both wet and dry weather sessions, so the students were able to gain an insight into how the weather conditions affected the day’s running and the setup of the car.
The team gathered valuable information about Esme's performance and how she compared to other cars in her category. Unfortunately a starting issue prevented the car from participating in the final session of the day, but with the fault now identified, work is commencing on preparing Esme for the next race event.
There are still spaces available to study a Motorsport Degree at our Bridgwater campus, starting this September. Find out more and apply here
