This game was heavily dominated by UCS from start to finish. UCS took control of possession very quickly and moved the ball around well against their opponents from Royal Agricultural University. At the 10 minute mark a good wide ball found Tyler Ateyo, who dispatched his shot into the top corner to get UCS off to the perfect start.
This was followed by Nathan Byrne 5 minutes later who exceptionally cut in from outside the box to make it 2-0. Luke White then scored his first of the match with a neat finish at the 25 25 minute mark. With UCS hungry for more goals, Luke White's partner in crime and UCS captain Niall Carr fired off two more shots in quick succession to make the score 5-0.
Royal Agricultural Uni couldn't withstand the constant pressure, but here were a few times that they had break aways but with the back four well marshalled by Team BTC's 3rd team coach Jonny Hunt and sweeper keeper Tom Creed, UCS weren't prepared to concede.
The first half finished, and UCS took their 5-0 lead striving for more in the second half. With a few changes early in the second half and the game already won, the game seemed to settle down and it took until the 65th minute for the next goal, kicking off from a great solo run by the ever reliable Jordan Burrows who made it 6-0. By the time 70 minutes had passed Luke White had also scored his second of the match to make it 7-0.
As UCS were pushing more men forward and Tom Creed went up for an attacking corner, as he was keen to get onto the score sheet and add to his one goal already this season, the home goal was left unattended and Royal Agri broke from the corner and got a deserved consolation goal, to make it 7-1.
UCS hit back with skipper Niall Carr scoring another hat trick this season to put UCS 8-1 up.
In the final 10 minutes of the game crowd favourite and Team BTC's Women's Rugby coach, Josh Flagg, entered the pitch and was soon in action as a penalty was awarded. Flagg stepped up and ended up hitting a very tame effort straight into the keeper's hands, much to the disgust of the crowd.
UCS now make the long trip to Falmouth this week, with their final game of the season a couple of weeks later. If they can pull off two wins in their final two fixtures then they will finish second in the table which would be an outstanding achievement considering this is their debut season in the BUCS league.
