Course Leader Louise Publishes New Research to Support Early Years Educators

Louise Hannan, UCS Early Childhood Course Leader and a PhD student with the Centre for Research in Early Childhood (CREC), has co-authored an insightful report, The Twoness of Twos, alongside June O’Sullivan, CEO of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF).

The report sheds light on the challenges and opportunities faced by early years practitioners working with two-year-olds, reaffirming the importance of confidence and training in leading these crucial developmental stages.

Louise’s contribution to this report demonstrates her passion for early years education and her commitment to empowering practitioners. She says,

“This report delves into the fascinating world of a two-year-old – a development stage filled with wonder, joy, and occasional chaos. It highlights the unique qualities of Early Childhood Education and Care emotional environments, and addresses some of their challenges.”

Louise’s research and leadership in this field continue to inspire both her students and her colleagues at UCS. As we celebrate her latest achievement, we look forward to the ongoing impact of her work in shaping the future of early childhood education.
