Principal, Andy Berry, receives CBE at Buckingham Palace

Andy Berry, Principal and CEO of Bridgwater & Taunton College, the home of UCS, has been awarded the Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his outstanding contributions to further education.

The investiture, held at Buckingham Palace, was a momentous occasion, celebrating Andy’s significant impact on the education sector both locally and nationally. His strategic leadership has been instrumental in driving innovations in teaching, learning, and community engagement, significantly enhancing the College’s role in supporting regional growth and economic development.

He said,

"Receiving this honour is a testament to the collective effort and dedication of the entire BTC community. This recognition reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional education and training that meets the needs of today’s industries and prepares students for successful careers."
