National Student Survey 2024

The National Student Survey (NSS) is an opportunity for students to voice their opinions on the quality of their courses and experience at university. The survey is one of the largest of its kind in the world, and covers a range of factors, including teaching and assessments, their academic experience, and mental wellbeing services.

The results for 2024 have been released and University Centre Somerset has had fantastic feedback and excellent results! With many of our figures showing up significantly higher than the national average.

UCS highlights include:

• 95% of students responded positively about Teaching on my course
• 91% of students responded positively about Assessment and Feedback
• 90% of students responded positively about Learning Opportunities
• 92% of students responded positively about Academic Support
• 85% of students responded positively about Student Voice
• 82% of students responded positively about Student Union
• 89% of students responded positively about Information on Mental Wellbeing and Support
• 95% of students responded positively about Freedom to Express Ideas
