University Centre Somerset is delighted to welcome its first ever cohort of full-time student nurses to campus to begin their journey towards becoming Registered Nurses.
Induction Week started with a warm welcome from Nurse Educator, Samantha Northover. She explained how the course will run, reminded the student nurses of the facilities that they have access to and hinted that “the library staff will become your best friends, feed them chocolate!”
They were then given a tour of the Taunton campus, including the brand-new extended Clinical Skills Simulation Centre and Study Area. The day then ended on a high when they collected their new nursing uniforms.
We are so excited to have this group of Adult Nursing and Mental Health Nursing degree students beginning their studies with us and wish them all the best for the three years they have chosen to spend with us.
If you’re interested in being a part of the next cohort of student nurses at UCS, join us on Tuesday 27 September for the Nursing Open Evening at our Taunton campus, 6-7:30pm. Find out more and register here.
The BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing degrees offered at University Centre Somerset are accredited by UWE Bristol
