Creative arts programmes offered at UCS include Makeup Artistry, Prosthetic FX and Wig Making, Art & Design Foundation Diploma and Creative Digital and Graphic Design.
Our airy art studios, professional makeup workshops, fabric print rooms, and podcast recording studio in our brand-new digital space, ‘The Realm’, provide ideal spaces for artistic expression.
Our creative courses ensure students are industry-ready with regular input from industry professionals who set assignments, run workshops and judge exhibitions. Events and trips are also embedded in our courses, sparking creative inspiration and networking opportunities.

At University Centre Somerset (UCS), we strive to unleash the potential in each of our students, supporting them as they unlock new skills and ambitions. Our goal is for students to step seamlessly into their careers with confidence, equipped with not just knowledge, but practical, hands-on experience in their chosen field.
Qualifications range from short courses to full Honours degrees, in a range of career-focused subjects from Business Management to Mental Health Nursing. Each course is designed with excellent career prospects and progression in mind, whether locally or further afield.
